The Surprise Police Department earned several grants totaling $200,165 to go toward overtime for various operations.
The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety recently awarded the department money to support and expand enforcement of impaired driving, speeding, distracted driving, bicycle and pedestrian safety, seatbelt usage, child safety seat usage, motorcycle safety and citizen education
