Garrison workers were reminded of the importance of safety Dec. 10
during a Safety and Occupational Health Advisory Council meeting via Teams.
“Stay safe, stay vigilant and take care of each other,” Installation Safety Director Charlie Carter, of the Garrison Safety Office, said.
Mishap injuries at the Garrison increased during fiscal 2024.
“This is due to the increase in reporting, a great sign that our message of reporting mishaps is working,” Carter said. “We believe the numbers have peaked and we will level off and decrease as we focus our efforts.”
The hourlong meeting also included winter safety advice, motorcycle safety, radiation safety and other topics.
The next council meeting is scheduled for June.
