The Lamar Rotary Club had a fun evening recently, thanking those who help make their annual dictionary project and Kids’ Christmas a success every year.  This evening event was held to let local businesses and organizations know how much they are appreciated.  Per Rotarian Judy Turpin: “In the photo you will Rotarians as well as others.  You see our Superintendent of Lamar Schools as well as an area businessman who helps us year after year to deliver the dictionaries to local and surrounding schools.  They delight in the experience.  In the mix, you will see members of Friends of the Library who continually donate for the children’s books for Kids’ Christmas.  You will also see our sweet librarians who design amazing murals, dress up like elves and provide craft stations and letter writing to Santa at our Kids’ Christmas.  The employees of 21st Century John Deere in Lamar totally overhauled our beloved Christmas train that has been disabled halfway through the Kids’ Christmas the past 3 years.  Also pictured are a couple of spouses who are awesome when we need extra hands and strong arms.  We had a delightful evening.  It is so important to our members to let these wonderful people know how much they are loved and appreciated”.
