(Undated)–Officials say there were fewer people who died in motorcycle crashes on Minnesota roadways this year.

Minnesota Motorcycle Safety Specialist Jay Bock says we saw a spike in fatalities last year.  He says “76 from 2024 was a pretty high number.” He says this year however, we’re at “57 and barring some unforeseen weather here we will likely end the year at 57 and that was on 57 crashes.”

Bock says he hopes the trend continues in 2026. There are around 400,000 motorcyclists in Minnesota with many of those here in central and west central Minnesota.
