This week, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office is participating in “Operation Crash Reduction,” a statewide campaign led by the North Carolina Governor’s Highway Safety Program.
“We will be increasing law enforcement efforts to target unsafe driving behaviors and encourage drivers to slow down,” the sheriff’s office said in a press release. “Distracted driving is deadly. Keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road the phone can wait.”
