Many Georgia motorcyclists continue riding through the winter months. The Georgia Motorcycle Safety Program (GMSP) reminds riders to stay safe, warm, and alert with these winter riding tips.
“As winter weather arrives, we urge all motorists—especially motorcyclists—to slow down, stay alert, and adjust their driving for colder temperatures, reduced visibility, and changing road conditions,” said Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) Commissioner Angelique B. McClendon. “Motorcyclists are particularly vulnerable during the winter months, and it is critical all drivers remain attentive, share the road responsibly, and give one another the space needed to arrive safely. Safe driving is a shared responsibility, and every decision behind the wheel can save a life.”
