ABATE of Nebraska, a statewide organization dedicated to promoting safe riding, rider education and fair legislation for motorcyclists, held a chili cookoff at Jack’s Place in Elkhorn. Members and local residents gathered to sample a variety of chili recipes while supporting ABATE’s mission to preserve freedom of the road and provide a network for communication on issues affecting motorcyclists. ABATE, which stands for A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments or American Bikers Aiming Toward Education, represents riders from across the state and advocates for safer roads, rider training, and equitable treatment for motorcycle enthusiasts in Nebraska. The event also offered an opportunity for members to connect with the community and raise awareness of the organization’s efforts to influence legislation and promote motorcycle safety.
