The Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has launched a competition for its 2026 Bike4Life Ride Out and Festival, giving two riders the opportunity to head the procession of more than 3,500 bikes.

The Ride Out will take place on Sunday, May 17.

Emma Wood, head of fundraising and engagement at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “The Bike4Life Ride Out and Festival is an important event in the charity’s calendar and every year, bikers from across the UK come together to raise vital funds and awareness of biker safety.

“The launch of our Bike4Life Ride Out competition is always a key milestone in the run-up to the event and we would urge anyone who has not already booked their tickets to purchase them now before Thursday, April 9, to be in with the chance of leading the ride out of 3,500 bikes alongside our special guests.”

The winners will ride at the front of the pack alongside special guests including Carl Fogarty MBE, TV’s Emergency Bikers Mark Hayes and Steve Harris, Ben Pearson of Channel 5’s Police Interceptor, and members of the charity’s air crew.

Anyone who has already booked a place, or does so by 5pm on Thursday, April 9, will be automatically entered into the draw.

The Bike4Life Ride Out has raised more than £950,000 for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity since its launch in 2010.

Organised in partnership with West Mercia Police and National Highways, the ride follows the M54 and raises awareness of motorcycle safety while supporting the charity’s lifesaving work.

Bike4Life 2026 is expected to surpass the £1 million fundraising milestone as the charity celebrates its 35th anniversary.

Winners will be notified by Tuesday, April 14.

Tickets and further information are available at the Bike 4 Life Fest website.
