Things are shaping up for Redstone’s first Installation Safety Day, June 3.

The event is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Redstone Activity Field, 3732 Aerobee Road, is the location with additional booths indoors at the Community Activity Center, building 3711. June is National Safety Month.

“This is all about state of mind, preventing hazards,” Charlie Carter, the Garrison’s safety and occupational health director, said during a planning meeting April 8. “It’s all about combining resources.”

The Garrison Safety Office, coordinating the installation-wide event, has provided a booth registration link on Google Forms.

The vendors include the Garrison Safety Office, NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, Redstone Fire Department, North Alabama Search Dogs, Army Substance Abuse Program, Fox Army Health Center, Religious Support Office, Redstone Airfield, Huntsville Urban Bike Share, the Directorate of Public Works, and motorcycle safety.

Here is the agenda:

• 9-9:05 a.m. – Welcome (safety message), Garrison Commander Col. Erin Eike

• 9:05-9:10 – Opening remarks, Garrison Command Sgt. Maj. John Fritz

• 9:10-9:20 – Distracted driving, Brandon Bailey, Alabama state trooper

• 9:20-9:30 – Fire safety and services, Redstone Fire and Emergency Services

• 9:30-10 – Huntsville Utilities electrical safety demo

• 10-11:30 – Safety booth presentations

• 10:15-11:15 – Annual SHARP training available in building 3711 

• 11:30-noon – Lunch and Learn, Huntsville Utilities electrical safety demonstration       

• Noon-2 p.m. – Safety booth presentations
