
A 21-year-old bride-to-be has been left with life-changing injuries after motorcycle crash in Anderson Township.On April 30, Jordan Taylor was riding to work on her brand-new motorcycle.”She popped the clutch, gave it a little bit too much gas,” says her mom, Tammy Taylor.Tammy says that’s when her daughter lost control, crashing into a neighbor’s yard.”I think she would be dead if she hadn’t had the helmet,” said Tammy.The crash left Jordan quadriplegic. “There’s a lot of dreams that she’s had since she was little that she’s not going to get to enjoy,” her mom said.Seeing her daughter like this is heartbreaking, but Tammy says she’s staying strong for Jordan.”I went to the hospital when it first happened, the first thing she said to me was, ‘mom, what have I done?’ And, you know, being a mom, I just told her you didn’t do anything, accidents happen,” says Tammy.She tells us Jordan is newly engaged.It wasn’t long ago that Tammy was snapping photos of the happy couple.She says they were planning the wedding, but now they’re making other plans.”We’re going to need to find some place that has no stairs,” says Tammy, “Another difficulty is going to be trying to find a van that we can afford to buy for her.”Though the road ahead is tough, this family won’t be going it alone.Their church sent out a message to congregations across the US and the world, asking for prayers for Jordan.Since then, they’ve received dozens of letters from all over, wising Jordan a fast recovery.”I am very proud of how she has been handling this,” says Tammy.This accident has left them with many expenses, but friends stepped up by creating a fundraiser.Those interested in making a donation can do so here.
