Chino man faces child sex charge

Riverside County Sheriff deputies arrested a 24-year-old Chino man Oct. 24 on suspicion of sexually exploiting a 15-year-old by manipulating and grooming the teen for several months.

Gabriel Isaiah Sanchez-Reyes was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on $55,000 bail on charges of sexual exploitation and furnishing drugs to a minor, the sheriff’s department said.

Deputies began an investigation after a report from the teen who said they were being groomed by a man, sheriff’s said.

“On Oct. 24, deputies organized an undercover surveillance operation and apprehended Mr. Sanchez-Reyes as he attempted to contact the victim in Temecula,” a sheriff’s statement read.

Mr. Sanchez-Reyes was arrested at 7:30 p.m. at Regents Hill Circle and Royal Crest Place, jail records show.

A free motorcycle safety and education course will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at Living Waters Church, 6010 Walnut Ave. in Chino.
